Absolutely outstanding service from the very first phone call. Harvey and Adam were the opposite, kind, compassionate, caring and only wanting to deliver what we chose. They never tried to sell to us for their own personal gain. Always transparent and honest with costs.
Tranquillity Funeral Directors are relatively new in Dumfries but are highly experienced which was evident in their professional, friendly attitude, always sympathetic and attentive throughout - before, during and after the funeral.
By fate we used Tranquillity Funeral Directors. An initial conversation with Harvey demonstrated their ability and he offered free non pressurised non-committal advice. He was helpful, listened and provided support, leaving us to choose the best Funeral Director to take care of our much loved mother and meet our wishes. We chose Tranquillity Funeral Directors with good faith and confidence.
One of mums sayings was love many trust few always paddle your own canoe – we trusted Harvey and Adam to direct mums funeral and they made a wonderful job – they repaid our trust and helped paddle mums canoe.

I couldn’t thank Harvey and Adam enough for their respectful, supportive service and for making a difficult process a lot easier. I was in the unfortunate position to have to approach Harvey to take care of funeral arrangements a second time, but it required no hesitation. I knew Harvey and Adam would act with dignity and kindness towards my loved one while allowing my family to give as much creative input as possible.
They are both fantastic, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else before them for funeral services in Dumfries and Galloway. Nothing is too much trouble and you are never made to feel uncomfortable for asking the smallest or biggest of questions.
